Encanto
I saw Encanto shortly after it first came out and it is definitely worth mentioning. I quite enjoyed it. The characters were very good and the songs were great with very catchy tunes. My favorite song was probably either “Surface Pressure” or “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”. It is an animated movie, so it might not be for everyone. But I do recommend it. The Lost City The Lost City was an awesome movie! I saw it recently and I would go see it again in a heartbeat. I loved Daniel Radcliffe in it - I haven’t seen him in much since Harry Potter. So, seeing him again was a gift in itself and seeing him play a different kind of character added to the excitement. The storyline was great and there were some hilarious scenes in it. I loved every minute of it. The only negative thing I would say is that Daniel Radcliffe could have been in it even more, but he was in quite a few scenes still. I guess I just can’t get enough of Daniel, haha. I recommend this one for anyone who likes a good action/thriller movie. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was an amazing movie! I can’t wait to see it a second time. There were a couple sad scenes, but there were also some scenes that made the whole theatre bellow with laughter. In my eyes, the good far outweighs the bad. I did miss Johnny Depp though, but I think Mads Mikkelsen did a great job. It wouldn’t be easy taking on the role of Grindelwald after Johnny Depp played him, but Mads did do a great job of it. I do think they could have made him look a bit more like Johnny Depp's version of Grindelwald with the hair and pale skin, but he sort of made the role his own. So aside from that, he was fantastic! It didn’t do as good at the box office, but I do hope we see another one. I want to see the final battle between Grindelwald and Dumbledore and more of the events leading up to it. But all in all, it was a fantastic movie. Of course, it would help to see the first two Fantastic Beasts movies prior to seeing this one and I recommend watching them shortly before this one to refresh your memory on everything that happened, especially in the Crimes of Grindelwald. I definitely recommend Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore for anyone who is a Potterhead. It was really a great movie, lots of action with some twists. Talking about it makes me want to see it again even more. |
