TV Show/Movie Review

Dodger (TV Show)
This is a 2022 TV Show that is a prequel to Oliver Twist. It’s about the Artful Dodger and how he joined Fagan’s gang and became the Artful Dodger. I absolutely love this show and I hope they make more episodes. It’s a good family comedy, but the way the episodes are released is a bit weird. They released season one which consisted of 10 episodes, then season 2 only consisted of a few special episodes including a Christmas one which was quite good. These special episodes were released sporadically, anywhere from one month to six or seven months apart. The events of the fourth special left some unanswered questions from the third special, otherwise it was still good. Who knows if we will get another episode? If you live outside of the UK, it is extremely difficult to find the show. I live out of the UK so it wasn’t easy to find. I think the Dodger TV Show would be a lot more known and successful if it was accessible outside of the UK. Lab Rats (TV Show) Out of all the tv shows I have watched, Lab Rats will always have a place in my heart. It’s a wonderful tv show which started in 2012. It’s about these teenagers who have bionic chips in them that gives them super powers. Their father keeps them in the basement or lab of his house to train for superhero missions and so they won’t be discovered by anyone. Their father gets married to someone who also has a son. The boy finds the teenagers in the basement. It’s a comedy and quite a good show. I’m chuckling just thinking about some of the episodes. After the main show, there is also Lab Rats: Elite Force. Oliver Twist (TV Show) This is the 2007 TV show. It’s the normal story of Oliver Twist, but a little darker because it also has Monks. Monks is a character that would stop at nothing to have Oliver dead. Any version that has him in it can be expected to be a bit darker, but I do like how he adds something more to the story. So if the regular story is too light for you, then watch this version. Pete’s Dragon (Movie) Pete’s Dragon reminded me a bit of the story of Mowgli. Pete is a boy that was in a car accident with his parents. His parent’s sadly died and Pete wanders away and meets Eliot who is a dragon. Elliot and Pete become fast friends and Pete grows up in the forest until he is found out when he is around 10 years old. This is an amazing movie for all ages. |
